Inter-Collegiate Sporting Challenge Rules & Regulations

  • Participation in the Inter-Collegiate Sporting Challenge (21.097 Km) is open only for universities and colleges of Delhi & NCR.
  • Duly filled application forms of 3 boys/3 girls of the college need to be submitted together under a covering letter of the university/college.
  • One college can field up to 2 teams of 3 runners in each team (one boys' team and/or one girls' team) under the Inter-Collegiate Sporting Challenge.
  • A college team cannot register for the Inter-Collegiate Sporting Challenge online.
  • We will accept 20 Boys Team and 20 Girls Team on first come first serve basis.
  • Entry into this race category is subject to Event Rules & Regulations
  • On race day, all three members of each team will run an approximate distance of 7 kms. each.
  • Teams will be timed using the timing chip. There will be 2 distance breaker points on the course between Start and Finish lines. Member reaching a distance breaker point must pass on the baton to his/her next fellow team member. The final member of each team must cross the finish line wearing his/her timing chip and with the baton.
  • The team of the member crossing the finish line first will be declared the winning team. Final entitlement to prize money winning positions within the Inter Collegiate Sporting Challenge are subject to -
    • a. All team members have completed their pre-designated distance,
    • b. Chip timing of all team members having been captured across all timing points on the course, including at the start and finish mats,
    • c. Visual screening of runners' race day images after race day.
  • Runners found to have interchanged their timing chip and/or their running number bib with others, shall be liable to be disqualified from the competition. Such runners shall not be entitled to any timing or prize money.
  • Further, where a team member reports on race day without the designated bib number and/or timing chip, or where any of the team members fail to report on race day, such team shall stand disqualified. Team members of the disqualified team shall not be allowed to participate in the Event.
  • Prize money winning team members declared will be required to submit certified true copy of their college/university identity cards for disbursement of prize money.
  • Prize Money winnings are subject to Indian Income Tax Rules as applicable and taxes, if any, would be borne by the winner.
  • Post verification, prize money of each winning team will be divided equally and remitted directly in the names of its team members.
  • Race Results Committee's decision on rankings and entitlements of prize money will be final and binding on all.
