What type of shorts to wear while running?I have been practicing for 10k. Currently I am running 5kms on treadmill regularly. Now, I wear loose shorts while running. After running, I realized that the skin that touches scrotum has been bruised because of long running. How can I avoid further pains? By, sourabh jaiswal Posted On : 07 Apr 2013 ,2:29 PMNo replies |

Pain in the ball of the footHello Doctor, I'm 42 years old male candidate and running first time in the marathon. Since last 3 months I started to feel pain (occasionally) in the ball of the foot. I always walk 100 minutes (to and fro) a day. I don't know why this pain has started suddenly. I've habit to walk a lot per day so that won't be the reason. I started running since last 2 months. Doctor suggested me to use vulgus pad (what kind of vulgus pad I should go for) in the shoes. Please advice. Thanks Regards By, Shailendrakumar Posted On : 07 Jan 2013 ,3:55 AM1 reply ![]() |
Half Marathon to Full marathon ?Hello Coach, I recently finished my ADHM with 3.15 hrs. it was my fourth half marathon. Unfortunately I was not able to enrol for SCMM 2013 half marathon. It seems the Full marathon category is open. I am kind of interested to take part in full marathon but it looks too difficult at this point of time from preparation perspective as only 85 odd days are left. Do you think I should go for it ? Also Will I be eligible for full marathon (I mean i don't have any timing certificate for full marathon) ? If you think I can, then please provide me some tips as well. looking positively for your reply. By, Ashu Posted On : 22 Oct 2012 ,3:12 AM2 replies ![]() |
My heels painingHi Coach, I've actively participated in ADHM 2010, 2011 and SCMM 2011. Now I'm preparing for ADHM 2012 which is scheduled on 30th September 2012. Off lately, I'm feeling pain on my heels. I am 5'10" and weighing 86 Kgs. I wear ASICS Gel Kayano shoes and i have normal pronation. Let me know what can be the possible causes of the heel pain and how can it be cured ? By, Ashu Posted On : 06 Sep 2012 ,1:34 AM2 replies ![]() ![]() Thanks a lot Coach... Your very first point seems to be the main cause. Usually I used to jog on roads but off lately i shifted my training to Gym on trademill. After that only i started feeling pain. Once this ADHM is over, i'll take some rest and follow your lead to get relief. Later on will try again slowly on roads. Thanks a lot once again.... Posted On : 27 Sep 2012 ,5:33 AM Reply by, Ashu |
