Distance running epitomizes the power of one's dreams and the awareness of one's abilities to realize those dreams. Unlike other competitive sports, it is an intensely personal experience. It gives rise only to one breed - Winners! You are already a winner by just participating and crossing the finish line.
It's been an eventful ten-year journey for the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon. A journey that has seen the event grow into a movement - A journey that has been embellished with milestones and earned recognition and kudos from various quarters. Over ten years, the fund raising paradigm associated with the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon has seen a phenomenal growth and the event now stands unsurpassed as the country's largest charity raising platform. Today the event is seen as a trusted credible platform for giving to the under-served sections of our society. Since inception the event has raised Rs 89.6 Crores for over 400 NGOs with the support of over 300 companies, thousands of fundraisers and lakhs of donors. This would not have been possible without the extraordinary capacity of the citizens and custodians of this great city to care and give to our community.
The Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2013 has broken all previous records and set a new benchmark as a 'giving' platform. An amount of Rs. 18.61 crores has been collectively raised by 215 NGOs. A record 234 NGOs, 166 corporations and 685 fundraisers with their supporters has made this the most special SCMM yet.
We thank all for being part of this amazing giving story!
