- Dream Run category: Tuesday, 21st August 2012, 10 am IST.
- Sr. Citizens' Run & Champions with Disability categories: Monday, August 27th, 2012, 10 am IST.
Q. What is the last date to submit entries for each of the categories?

Q. Can I register on the day of the event?
No. Requests for registration will not be entertained post closure of respective registrations dates.

Q. How can an overseas applicant apply for the Event?
An overseas applicant can apply ONLY through online registrations
Q. What are the various modes of entry fee payment?
- Cheque (only local Mumbai cheques will be accepted)
- Demand Draft (payable at Mumbai)
- Cash (only Indian Rupee currency shall be accepted)
- Credit Card (only for Online Registration)
Q. In whose name should the cheque or demand draft be made?
All cheques/demand draft to be drawn in favour of "PROCAM INTERNATIONAL LTD.-SCMM"
Q. Which payment mode will be accepted for online registration?
An online applicant can pay ONLY via credit card, net banking or debit card.
Q. How will my entry acceptance be intimated to me?
If you have provided your correct email id on the entry form, you will be sent an email confirmation. A physical confirmation letter will be sent to you by post ONLY if you have not provided your correct email address on the form.

Q. Can I register for more than one race?
No. An individual can apply only for one race in the Event. An application form received with two options chosen, will be rejected. Multiple applications will entail all being rejected.
Q. Can I register for my friend?
No. An applicant has to sign the waiver himself/herself. You cannot register on your friend's behalf.
Q. Is there any criteria for confirming my application for the marathon/half marathon category?
In order to apply for either of the categories, you must have fulfilled the following criteria:
- Must have participated in an event conducted in past 24 months preceding to race day, i.e. 20th January 2013, which has been ratified/recognised by AIMS or conducted under the aegis of your state/district athletics association or sports control board,
- The running events mentioned in the link: http://www.timingindia.com/calendar.php are also recognised by us and its timing can be used to qualify for Marathon and Half Marathon race categories. (excluding relay race / events)
- Submitted your timing certificate (a photocopy) acquired by you at the events mentioned above along with your application form,
- To be eligible for this confirmation criterion, you need to have participated and completed your run in the timings specified below:

Your entry for marathon and half marathon race categories will be confirmed based on the following -
- Verification of valid timing certificate submitted by you,
- Verification of documents, where applicable, submitted by you,
- Verification of your application's eligibility under each criterion,
- Availability of running spaces under each category and
- Entry Rules and Guidelines.
Women's Quota: To encourage women applicants' participation, there are a limited number of running places reserved for women applicants who cannot submit a timing certificate or do not fall within the timings mentioned above.
Charity Running Places: NGO's registered with the Event's official charity partner, United Way of Mumbai, have been allotted limited charity running places which can be availed of by applicants who do not fall within the timed runner criteria or the women's quota. These running places will be available with the respective NGO's at a premium. If you wish to know about the charity running places, log on to www.procamrunning.in/scmm, United Way of Mumbai will get in touch with you on or before 20th August 2012.
Q. Under the Marathon and Half Marathon categories, are there any cut-off timings for applying under the 'timing preference'?
Timing certificates showing finish of more than 3 hours 15 min for Men and 3 hrs 30 min for Women for Half Marathon and more than 7 hours for Men and 7 hrs 30 min for Women for the Marathon category will not be considered under the timing preference criteria.
Q. What will happen once I submit my Marathon/Half Marathon application under confirmation criteria?
Your application for the marathon/half marathon will be confirmed based on the confirmation criteria mentioned above. Please note, confirmation is subject to -
- Verification of valid timing certificate submitted by you,
- Verification of documents, where applicable, submitted by you,
- Verification of your application's eligibility under each criterion,
- Availability of running spaces under each criterion and
- Entry Rules and Guidelines.
Q. What are the advantages in me submitting a timing certificate I have received in the last one year?
Once confirmed, the advantage will be visible on race day (Sunday, 20th January 2013). Confirmed applicants of marathon and half marathon categories will be eligible for priority line-up on race day within the line-up area in their respective timing sections. This will be based on the finish time given in the submitted timing certificate.

Q. Is there any Ballot Process in this year's edition of Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon?
There is no ballot process this year.
Q. Are there any confirmation preference criteria in Dream Run / Sr. Citizens' Run / Champions with Disability?
Confirmation preference criteria do not apply to registration and confirmation process of the Dream Run/Sr. Citizens' Run/Champions with Disability categories. Applications for these categories will be accepted on first-come-first-serve basis, until close date of registrations or until running places for each of the categories are filled, whichever is earlier.
Q. Can I and my group of friends/colleagues submit our applications together as a group?
Yes, but ONLY if you are wanting to participate in the Dream Run or Sr Citizen's Run or Champions with Disability. No group applications will be accepted for the Marathon and Half Marathon race categories. Also, please do not club Marathon and Half Marathon applications with group applications of Dream Run, Sr Citizen's Run and Champions with Disability - such applications will be disqualified.
Q. What are the things to be remembered while submitting application forms as a GROUP?
- Where 20 or more individuals submit their entries together, this will constitute a group entry. All members of a group have to fill and sign individual application forms. Under 'Application Type' in the application form, applicants need to choose 'Group', mentioning the group name and size of the group.
- More than 35 applications from a single group/entity/association will not be accepted.
- Please DO NOT club Marathon and Half Marathon entries with group entries. Such entries will be disqualified.
- Only one cheque/DD will be accepted for group entries.
- Each group must submit their entries together one time, in a single envelope under a covering letter of the company/NGO/ any other entity, clearly stating -
- Total number of entries enclosed in each race category,
- Number, date, amount and bank name of cheque/DD submitted,
- Name and contact details of a common point of contact for the group;
Q. Can I fill a single application form on behalf of all the members of the group participating in the event?
NO, each member/ runner needs to fill individual application form with all the mandatory fields duly filled and necessary documents attached.
Q. Can a representative submit applications on behalf individuals?
Yes, however, a representative can submit individual applications of not more than 10 people.
Q. Is attaching passport sized photograph with the application form/online application form compulsory?
Yes, it has to be provided with each application form at the time of submission of application. Online applicants need to attach their photograph whilst submitting application; the photograph size should not exceed 75 kb.
Q. Is attaching a Govt. issued photo ID proof with my application (including online) compulsory?
Yes, it has to be provided with each application form at the time of submission of application. Online applicants need to attach their Govt. issued photo ID proof whilst submitting application; the photograph size should not exceed 75 kb.
Govt. issued photo ID proof will include documents like Passport, Driving License, PAN Card, Election Card, Aadhaar Card, etc.
Q. I am a student and do not possess any of the above ID proofs. What do I submit along with my application?
We will accept valid school / college identity cards for students below the age of 18 years.
Q. On what grounds can my entry be rejected or declared invalid?
Your entry can be rejected on any of the grounds listed below. A regret letter will be sent to the address mentioned in the form spelling out the reason for not accepting your entry.
- Incomplete form submitted,
- Waiver not signed,
- Applicant is underage for the race chosen,
- Mutilated form/cheque/demand draft/currency notes submitted,
- More than one entry form received from the same applicant,
- Short receipt or non-receipt of entry fee,
- Local Mumbai cheque not submitted,
- Required documents not attached/submitted/submitted documents not valid,
- Cheque or demand draft submitted not cleared by the Bank,
- Running places are full,
- Any other reason.
Q. What options do I have in case my application gets rejected?
Unsuccessful applicants can approach participating NGO's for available Charity running numbers. Such charity running spaces will be available at a premium, the proceeds going for the benefit of the chosen NGO. List of participating NGO's offering charity running numbers is uploaded on the event website.
Q. Will I get a refund of my entry fees on my entry not having been accepted?
Your entry fees will be refunded vide a NEFT transfer to you by 31st December 2012. You will be contacted on your email asking for your NEFT / Bank account details. An amount of 50 will be deducted as processing charges.
Q. Can I transfer my application/registration in favour of another person?
Registrations are NOT TRANSFERABLE.
Q. Once applied can I cancel my entry and get refund?
Once you have applied, request for cancellation and refund will not be entertained.
Q. Can I change my race category once I have applied/my entry is confirmed?
Once you have applied for a particular race category, you cannot change your race category.
