People's Green Award
Tata Consultancy Services World 10K Bangalore believes in a cleaner and greener world to live in and tirelessly work to achieve the same. During the last edition of the run we successfully created a World 10K Urban Forest where in corporate and runners came together for the Green Initiative. In the course of this initiative more trees were planted in 2.25 acres of land along the periphery of Madivala Lake.
Tata Consultancy Services World 10K Bangalore 2012 brings to you the People’s Green Award (PGA).
The People’s Green Award is a platform to admire and acknowledge people who share this dream to make earth greener and better place to live in.
The Green Star award category admires the people who take an extra effort in creating environmental awareness. It is for the people who walk an extra mile from their daily work. It identifies exceptional environmental leadership and dedication from individuals/groups and/or NGO's whose devotion and enthusiasm energizes others.
This award is open only to individuals/groups and/or NGO's which incur no monetary profit from their Green services and should strictly be "Not for Profit."
The results of People's Green Award-TCS World 10K Run, Bangalore'12 are out! In the award ceremony held on 11th July at ITC Windsor Manor, Bangalore, the results were announced by Kannada actor Mr. Puneet Rajkumar and Atul Bhalla, General Manager, ITC Windsor.
Green Star:

1st Runner-up: Puttenahalli Neighbourhood Lake Improvement Trust
2nd Runner-up: Malleswaram Swabhimana Initiative
